Codes may be more common in your life than you think.  Learn about several important codes used in your cells and by computers.  You will even get to bring home some binary bling.  

Explore important codes, in computers and the genetic code of all living things.  Practice making, and cracking, a code of your own.

Did you know yeast can grow so fast it can explode out of its container? Did you know without yeast, your bread wouldn’t be soft and fluffy?

In this experience, you will learn how yeast is important in your world. Conduct experiments using yeast to see how internal chemical processes can inflate balloons. Use your new knowledge to understand how this single-celled organism makes some of your favorite foods.

Something is afoot in the backyard- find the cause of several sick plants and animals, using hands-on activities based on real biological techniques

Something is afoot in the backyard- several plants and animals have gotten sick!  You are needed to investigate what organisms what might be causing the illnesses. You will learn about techniques used by real biologists and work in groups to solve challenges.

Ever looked closely at an insect? Ever wonder which bugs are hiding right before your eyes? Come along and we will guide you into a hidden world.

What makes insects different and the same?  You will learn about the body parts of an insect and discover a way that scientists identify different animals all over the planet! You don’t have to touch a real bug, but it might be more fun if you do!
