That Baking Smell!
By Shannon Bliss Illustrated by Audrey Sauble
In That Baking Smell! we saw several examples of matter:
Smelling cinnamon- a bit of the cinnamon had to be in a gas state to smell
Solid coconut oil melts
Liquid ingredients are poured into solid ingredients
What’s the matter?
Matter comes in 3 states (solid, liquid & gas), it makes up everything around us.
-
A solid keeps it shape, like pouring oats onto a pan
-
A liquid takes the shape of its container, like filling a cup with honey
-
A gas fills its container, like a smell filling a room
-
Yes!
